Business Showcase at BASE

November 9th 2021

We are excited to invite you to participate in our new series of customer showcases.

The first session takes place on Thursday 18th November in the Business Lounge from 12:00. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from BASE businesses powerQuad, Marlay and Nirray, and to see their cutting-edge solutions in action within the centre.

  • Gil & Paul from powerQuad are currently performing a cutting-edge energy storage and carbon reduction project at BASE and will be describing their solution. Following COP26, there is certain to be a heightened level of interest in this type of technology.
  • Mike from Marlay will have samples of a portable Solar Home System that enables lighting and energy access for rural, off grid homes in Africa. His product was designed for local assembly and is currently being mass produced at purpose-built facility in Lagos, Nigeria. Mike can offer advice on overcoming “manufacturing hell” and sourcing from China in an age of constant shortages and travel restrictions.
  • Matthew from Nirray will show an incredible LiDAR security detection and safety solution that is being developed. His partner company, Fraiserline, undertook a scan of the Business Lounge at BASE and provides an accurate representation of the area to 0.6mm ! The scanning system is enabled on the building’s 5G!

 

We encourage everyone to come along to catch a glimpse of the future! The session will also offer informal networking opportunities and a chance to meet Jennie, our new Innovation Director.
