Hear from expert Eric Wood on ways to enhance your team’s ability grapple with its unknowns and gain competitive advantage. \nThis lunchtime session at BASE Bordon will explore \n\nKey sources of uncertainty – new technology\, customers\, people and finance.\nExamples where they have been managed well and what that involved.\nSome common people dilemmas related to co-founders and other staff and how the unknowns within those can be managed.\nPractical suggestions for managing uncertainty and limiting its potential to sink a business.\n\nBring your lunch and your business woes! Arrival and refreshments at 12 noon. The workshop begins at 12.30pm. \nThe session will be recorded to assist with training and marketing. \nOur Expert \nEric Wood is the Director of Affirma. Eric consults to a wide range of organisations including entrepreneurial businesses and family businesses\, in the UK and internationally. His main interest lies in practices which strengthen the capacity of leadership teams to manage key external and internal uncertainties and sustain value creation. Eric served as Professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the University of Cape Town. He has acquired and transformed struggling businesses as well as overseen the expansion of a biotech start-up. Currently\, Eric is a Visiting Fellow at the Cambridge Judge Business School. Eric holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Cape Town and a PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
