What is your work history prior to being at BASE?
Prior to working at BASE I worked in various roles within the leisure industry, such as General Manager, Contractor Operations Manager, Duty Manager. I was also a First Aid and Lifeguard trainer and would regularly run courses for new lifeguards. I am a qualified Personal Trainer, to this day I still run boot camps and have a small client base to keep me busy when not working at BASE.
What is your role at BASE and what sort of tasks to you carry out?
My job title is Centre Manager, and my role is very varied, and I will often adapt to meet the needs of the business at any given time. What’s your biggest achievement at BASE to date?
I think to date the biggest achievement for myself, and the team is the successful launch of BASE Connect, our monthly networking event. Since we started it back in October 2022, we have been pulling in between 30-50 people each month. This has created a great community of likeminded businesspeople who are all looking to connect with other local business. It also give us a chance to use and show off our impressive business lounge.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I have a real passion for fitness so outside of work I like to go to the gym, go for a run or even complete a local half marathon or Tough Mudder. Away from fitness I like to go on walks with my dog, Nala. She is a hyperactive cockapoo, so she certainly provides some entertainment.
Interesting fact about you that most people won’t know about?
