We think it’s important for customers to get to know our team here at BASE, as this is what helps to form a community within our centre. For this reason we have created a series called ‘Meet the team at BASE Bordon’. Today we got to find out more about Clare Clark, Assistant Centre Manager at BASE Bordon.
What is your work history prior to being at BASE?
I have worked in a range of industries from advertising, home interiors, software developers through to a quarry, and gained 25 years of experience from various administrative and customer service roles in those positions.
What is your role at BASE and what sort of tasks do you carry out?
I am the Assistant Centre Manager at BASE and oversee the day to day running of the centre, ensuring that all areas are presentable and customer needs are met. I’m also responsible for the facilities management and keeping service records and repairs of equipment current and compliant with H&S legislation.
What do you love about working at BASE?
I enjoy the mix of companies we provide a home for at BASE, as you gain an insight into their different operations. It’s also great to see businesses develop and grow within the centre and create a community here.
What’s your biggest achievement at BASE to date?
I am pleased to have worked at BASE since day one of opening. We celebrated our 5th birthday last year with present customers (and some past) in attendance.
What do you like to do outside of work?
In my spare time I enjoy yoga, walking and exploring the outdoors in the local area as well as further afield. I like to try and have a weekend trip or holiday planned to look forward to, the next one is in Wales!
Interesting fact about you that most people won’t know about?
I was part of the first female football team formed at my school.
