
David Payne joined BASE Bordon as Centre Manager towards the end of 2025, bringing extensive experience in customer experience, operations, and business growth.
He joined from TFP Fertility, where he spent nearly three years redesigning the patient journey and managing two fertility clinics in Central London. David is an entrepreneur at heart and also a former Oxford Innovation Spaces customer, having spent four years based at the Crowthorne Innovation Centre while growing his first business, which specialised in contact centre and customer experience consulting.
Over his career, David has founded, scaled, and successfully sold two businesses. He is passionate about using his first‑hand experience as a business owner to support BASE Bordon customers, helping them solve real‑world challenges, seize growth opportunities, and build sustainable, resilient businesses within a collaborative community.
Outside of work, David lives in Guildford with his wife and family. He has three grown‑up daughters, and a four‑year‑old cocker spaniel who ensures he gets plenty of fresh air and switch‑off time at weekends.
